Zusätzliche Informationen:

A monograph of 40 color drawings of Barks' signature Disney characters, Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, and Huey, Dewey and Louie. These drawings were made during his 96th year on the planet. These drawings are printed in full color and tipped into the book, which was issued in an edition of 1000 copies signed on a limitation sheet. The book is bound in black cloth stamped with gold lettering, with an unprinted, embossed gold dust jacket, and housed in an oversize folding clamshell box, measuring about 13 inches square. Barks worked for the Walt Disney Company for six or seven years in the 1930s and early 1940s, working on Donald Duck cartoon shorts. After he left Disney, he continued to write and illustrated Donald Duck comic books. Like most of the Disney comics artists, his work was anonymous but his distinctive style led fans to identify him as the "good duck artist." His work was an early influence for R. Crumb and other underground cartoonists as well as Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. First edition. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket and near fine clamshell case. This is copy 390 of 1000 signed by Barks. Book padded with "City of Duckburg" fake currency, as issued.
