POGO & ALBERT Figure STATUE ~ WALT KELLY
Classic Comic Characters SYROCO 2002
CLASSIC COMIC CHARACTERS #24: POGO STATUE
The title character of Walt Kelly's popular strip
Pogo, Pogo the Possum, was the level-headed heart and soul of the strip.
Kelly's strip ran the gamut from whimsy and sheer slapstick to
courageous political satire and moments of real poetry. Pogo was the
eternal optimist and voice of reason among the unique cast of characters
that all made their home in Okefenokee Swamp. This statue standing 4"
tall, comes packaged in a full-color tin box with pinback button and
booklet as extras. Sculpted by Yoe! Studios. This piece is limited to
only 600 numbered copies
CLASSIC COMIC CHARACTERS #25: ALBERT
STATUE
Perhaps the only Alligator known to smoke cigars,
and most certainly the biggest perpetrator of misadventures in
Okefenokee Swamp, Albert was never much of a wall flower. His
vainglorious personality was the perfect counterpoint to the gentle,
philosophic Pogo in Walt's Kelly's well-loved comic strip Pogo. He is
truly a classic comic character and we are pleased to bring you this
statue. Sculpted at Yoe! Studios. This piece is limited to only 600
numbered copies, so allocation may occur.
These statues produced in 2002, are designed to
recall the sculpting and painting style of the rare "syroco" comic strip
statues of the 1940's.
These statues standing 4 & 5" tall, comes
packaged in a full-color tin box with pinback button and booklet as
extras. Sculpted by Yoe! Studios. Limited to 600 numbered copies.
